Been away for a while.

Sun Dec 4, 2005, 8:26 PM
I've been away for a while.

The recent unplesentness coupled with the flood of shoddy poser renders soured me on this site. Plus I've been kinda busy lately.

Things seem to have settled for the time being and the poser craze seems to be dying off so I though it was time I started posting again.

Also I thought it was high time for a new icon, I've had the same one almost since I joined.

These are the works I have in progress at the moment.

At least one of them should be done some time soon. Also I plan to post more 'work in progress' stuff in my scraps in future, so if your into incomplete models and dodgy lighting setups keep an eye out.

I'm also considering puting a few of my existing models up for sale. It'd just be the model itself, they would be without lighting or texture and probobly in a netural pose, though they would retain any rigging, handles, etc. If your interested send me a note.

In issue 58 of 3D World Magazine in the exhibition section there is “Chess Globe” and “Suits Busy Professionals”. I ask you, how cool is that?

It’s the October issue, thow I only just got. It takes a bit over a month for it to get from England to Australia and of course this issue had to be late.

Print account for me

Thu Oct 21, 2004, 6:50 AM
Well i got me a print account. Now I face the massive task of rerendering my works for print. which means first digging up the maya files and their asorted textures, then rendering them at enormass sizes (more than 10,000 pixels across in some cases). each one is going to take days to render, I wouldn't be surprised if my computer explodes form the workload.

I now have prints for Chess Globe, Imperfection, War Droid and B12 (which fortunatly I rendered large to begin with) and more on the way.

Oh for a new +fav.

I've been on the hunt for a while now for a new +fav. It can be anything but it has to be recent and it has to really impress. It has to be the sort of thing you'd just stare at for an hour and leaves you awe struck.

I try to pick one every month or so and I usualy sumble across one in that time. But latley pickings have been pretty slim. I don't know if its because theres fewer really jaw dropping works comeing in or just more crap burying them. The current one was always going to be a tough act to follow but this is getting silly.

Frankly I'm at a loss so I'm now open to suggestion.

So thoughts ?

Anyone ?
